An Introduction to BioCarbon

Established in 2019, a collective of industry experts operating in the UK’s built environment sector formed BioCarbon. The target was to create product lines with sustainability at the heart. We’re proud to have created the UK’s first ever carbon neutral laminate and kitchen worktop.

Now more than ever there is a greater emphasis on interior designers and architects to make more sustainable choices and be more environmentally conscious in their material selection. With that in mind, we identified a need to offer a high quality, cost effective and durable decorative material with environmental credentials.

The BioCarbon journey

But before we delve into the innovative characteristics of our kitchen worktop range, we want to take you on a journey into our history.

Let’s start with BioCarbon Laminates, the UK’s first ever carbon neutral laminate. We introduced a new and unique range of laminates with built-in anti-microbial and environmental protection. The laminates are produced in a carbon neutral manufacturing facility which monitors, controls, and balances carbon emissions, reducing them to zero. Available in a wide range of décors these laminates are able to be used in a variety of different projects.

Then there is BioCarbon Liscio similar to the standard laminate but comes with additional anti-fingerprint technology and an ultra-matte surface, providing soft touch and low light reflectivity. Its versatility makes it ideal for both horizontal and vertical surfaces across various interior design projects, including residential, hospitality, healthcare, and commercial interiors.
